Ken Keyworth

Keyworth is arguably one of the clubs finest ever strikers. He spent six years playing for Leicester City between 1958 and 1964 and had an eye for scoring good goals. He helped the club reach the 1961 FA cup final and was a part of the Leicester City staring line up in their 1964 league cup victory. He made a total of 177 appearances for the club and scored 63 goals. He later on played for Coventry City FC.

Graham Cross

Graham Cross holds the record of most appearances ever made in a Leicester City football shirt. He spent a staggering sixteen years playing for the club between 1960 and 1965 and made a total of 599 appearances for Leicester. He helped the club win the league cup final in 1964 and was a versatile player, being able to play in various positions.

Gordon Banks

The standards that Gordon Banks set in the early 1960’s were phenomenal. He had great anticipation, faultless potential play, lightning reflexes, amazing bravery and superb athleticism and agility. Gordon Banks only conceded 56 goals in his 73 appearances for England, and kept 35 clean sheets in total for England. Gordon Banks save against Pele simply confirmed what the majority of people recognized in 1970- that Gordon Banks was the best goal keeper in the world. He won the world cup in 1966 with England.

David Nish

Nish spent six years playing for Derby County as he signed from Leicester City for £225,000 in August 1972. He won the FA cup in 1969 with Leicester City and his fine defensive displays for the Rams helped them win the league title twice in the 1970s. He left the club in the year 1978 after enjoying six blistering years playing for the club.
