The 2002 – 2003 season saw an uprise in Leicester City’s fortunes as they gained promotion back in to the premiership as they finished the season of fin second position, in turn earning automatic promotion.
Their first season back in the premiership proved to be short lived as they suffered relegation finishing the campaign off in a disappointing 19th position finish.
Danny Tiatto was in inspiring form for the foxes through out the campaign however relegation beckoned in to the second tier of English football.
The 2004 – 2005 season was a disappointing one for Leicester city as they could only manage a miserable 15th position finish. The foxes enjoyed a fine run in the FA cup as they reached the quarter finals of the cup competition, crashing out after suffering defeat against Blackburn Rovers in the last eight of the tournament.
The 2005 – 2006 season was another disappointing campaign as they finished it off in 16th position. Gareth Williams, Patrick McCarthy and Stephen Hughes were all in fine form for Leicester City throughout the campaign.
